so my drivers seat works fine, but the thing has a hard time moving, like there is resistance, is there any way to lubricate the tracks so it slides easier

does it seem to jump its way forward or does it just slide slowly?

Mine is the same, it CRAWLS forward and back. Bugs me but I have not taken it apart yet. I am pretty sure the tracks can be lubricated.

It makes a world of difference. You might also have something under the seat obstructing the action.

Yes they can be lubricated. i used ATF on mine...but I HAD to tear EVERYTHING apart to get mine to work, they had a lot of crap in them. after i cleaned the tracks and lubed them havent had a problem since...except i broke one of the motors /gears for the rear of the seat, so it dont go up or down in the rear any more :(

But yes they can be lubed i recommend something colorless and odorless...or at least low odor and non-evaporative.

I have a somewhat related question maybe someone can chime in and answer. My passenger side seat doesn't move forward anymore when it is leaned forward, you need to use the controls to move it. Anyone know what causes that?

Well as far as ur seat goes Battery id be leaning to a bad switch, a stuck switch, or a severed wire. if u lean the seat forward u should be able to see the switch. i wish i could help more and tell u how to replace it, if its even replaceable, but sadly i cant all i know is where its at and that it controls the forward and reverse of the seat when it tilted forward.

Here is something that I have found ... on my 94 which I have pulled the the seats out a few times .. even this past weekend.

I found that if you tighten the bolts too much it effect the way the seats ride their rails.

After KK tightened the piss out of the passenger's side the seat wouldn't move for nothing .. maybe an inch or I could get it to slide back with a little force but then nothing forward.

When I loosened the bolts a little the seat ran fine and is working like it should now.
