I just got my e mail tunes for my sct x3. I can't get my computer to recognize the device. I have tried to download the drivers for the x3 but can't get it to work. HELP!!!

your tuner should be able to walk you through it. I know you need to get liveload downloaded, but that's as far as my knowledge goes.

My computer says it doesn't recognize device. I brought it to work trying to get the tunes but having trouble there

id say contact your tuner... I cant for like of me remember how to get xcals to talk to comps

What steps have you taken to get it to recognize the new device?

There's the problem... SCT stuff only works with Windows, and really only works with XP, it might work sometimes with Vista.

I have downloaded the updater program and when I try to open it it says that something is missing so download the program again. I have twice and still the same :q:q:q:q

The message is mscoree dII missing when I try to use the updater. One thing said something about the computer being too old. That will suck get a new freakin computer to put a stuipid ass tune in my car. WTF!!!

Get a hold of SCT. If I remember correctly, NickT88LSC on here had a similar problem.

They are hell to get in touch with. I waited over a week for my tunes and now I finally got the bastards and can't get them loaded. I am having such fun. Thanks for letting me BOL. " bitch out loud" :>)

SCT sucks... it is too bad that they are the only ones who make a good product for actually tuning Fords... once you get past the initial hump there stuff works AWESOME....

I'm not so sure it is a SCT problem, a program that is made to run on Windows platform XP/VISTA and not being compatible with Lynix is the user problem.

I had to download microsoft frame work and I got it to work. I think I have them downloaded finally. Learning curve and excitement isn't a good combination. I guess I will be up all night now driving around Good thing it is pay day

Now I'm questioning whether to go Xcal 2 or 3.......but then again I haven't yet gotten around to the "search" for problems and troubleshooting with the Xcal 3. This is quite the interesting thread to read.....

Got them downloaded and got the performance tune on my car now. Throttle response is way better and you can feel the added torque and hp. Very Cool.
