I have a 2006 Lincoln LS8 with a Touch screen Navigation Flip Screen 6 disc CD changer and I am lloking to install Sirus to run directly thru the Screen. I took it to Lincoln today and they said the Radio would not accept the software for the upgrade, but all the wires and connection worked.

Is there anything that I can do so that i do not have that :q:q:q:qty aftermarket sirus dock in my car. Any help please

Take it to any audio sound shop for hook up to factory radio.

I have the same setup as you. Do you have the Sirius antenna on your roof?
Mine had the sirius kit installed from the dealer. When I pick "sat" from the audio menu, it says "Sirius" with the logo and id number, but says to call to activate. I am positive that the dealer can install it. I have an 05 with the thx and navi

AFAIK, there's no "software update" to make the "factory" Sirius unit work with the Nav unit in the '06--all you need is the Visteon hardware (and it's possible that the hardware you got was bad). Once it's installed correctly, one of the "buttons" on the Nav screen (FM2, I think) will change to a SAT button and you'll be good to go. (I don't have the Nav system, so I'm not sure which button changes.)

You can get the Visteon unit from Team Ford or Five Star Ford, or Ken at LSKoncepts may be able to get it for you.
