This is for anyone that has ran speaker wire through the door to an amp in the back, how did you get the wire through the gromet? I tried to run some wires today but had a hard time just running a hanger through there. Anybody have some ideas or tricks, I am thinking about just running wire back from behind the head unit under the carpet back but would like to run them through there while keeping a clean look.

the hanger actually worked for me. it took a bit of time though, i wouldn't run the speaker wire from the head unit by tapping into the factory wiring i've found it sounds best with fresh wire. maybe you need to just take a break from it for a few and then try again it will work though.

I will give it another try again today, I hope your right :) It took me most of the day yesterday to basically get one speaker and sound deader in, I spent way too much time trying to get the wire into the door. Thanks and I will let you know what happens today.

Well I decided to just install the other speakers but got stuck on the front doors, didn't realize there is a screw behind the pull handle. So all in all it took me all weekend to install just the back door speakers with some sound deadening material.

wrap a coathanger with some electrical tape. spray a small amount of tireshine or soapy water onto it and try working it through the grommet again. once through, bend a U shape into it and wrap your wires through it and tape over the whole thing. Spray it again and slide it back through... viola

note you can also pull the grommet out of the door and body and wiggle it around to make it easier. its not a straight pass so you almost need to do this. then just make sure the grommet goes back in on both sides all the way around.
