before i begin let me say i did a search and came up shy. i was wondering if there was a way to deactivate the rev limiter when in park or nuetral? will the xcal do this? thanks and if it was discussed in another thread feel free to paste link.

People have stated that when you get tunes for the XCAL you can get the rev limiters removed.

Also, since this thread is about rev limiters. Would it be bad to have the engine bouncing off the rev limiter in neutral?

It can definitely be done for the 2000-2002 cars with an XCAL2. Don't believe it's possible on the 2003+ cars, although on my XCAL2 user features it says the park/neutral rev limiter is 3100. I haven't tried to mess with it, though.

Xcal will remove the rev limiter in neutral/park with the TBW but it's not the same as having a mechanical linkage to the throttle body. You can't rev it. It will build slowly just as before.
