Anyone else ever seen one? I saw one at the gas station the other day and the only difference I could see was the gold plated "LINCOLN" and "LS V8" emblems on the trunk.

Could be. Like I said, just the letters on the deck lid and a "Roman Chariot" emblem on the right corner of the trunk. When did they go out of business?

Nope. Just the gold deck lid letters. Chrome 5 spoke wheels like the on the GenI, chrome license plate surround, nothing in the interior that I could tell. Looked like a premium non-sport.

Definitely a dealer or owner thing.

there are two caddy dealership are here that do that kind of stuff to every car they have only its a little worse...

there is always a large chrome trim piece on the rear of most caddies (think of it as our license plate surround), these dealers actually have custom panels made that have their name printed into the piece (engraved, not a sticker or paint), so if you want to get rid of it, you have to spend over a hundred bucks to to replace a trim piece

the piece under the rear emblem. (note:this is an example of the piece im talking about, not the dealer defacement)

And that's when I say install the original or pay me an advertising fee or you can keep your car!!

and at least one of them will say fine we'll keep the car...

I do think thats taking it a little too far, but I guess its sign of status, people will actually pay more to go get their car from there...

I got pissed when i showed up to pick up my lincoln and the "Varsity" sticker was still on the back after I told them that they must remove it when they wash my car. the guy though i was joking and seemed insulted when I told him I wasn't signing anything until the car met my requirements. told him hopefully the car will be ready after I get back from having lunch.
