i have a chance tp pick a 93 MK V111 for $500 but the rockers are shot...where can i find them and is a big job to fix

oh and i noticed the lights on the computer that displays the temp,milage,diagnostic display does not work either

Bud, buy the car and part it out. It is an Ontario car with bad rockers in it if you look at the rest of the car the rust is further than you think or can see.
It is not even worth $500.00 so be careful.

No I do not know the car. Minden is a good distance to Toronto and I have not been in Minden for better than 10 years.

I know a guy locally who is doing this right now. He actually came and cut out the rockers himself on my parts car. He is, however, an experienced body guy. I don't think I would tackle this project on my own.
