Rev. light ideas?

Hi guys, well I kinda made a rude intro with out introducing my self. I own a 2000 Lincoln LS, dropped in the weeds 20" Luff wheels, Mc Laren grille, smoked lenses on the turns and bumper. I have the typical exhaust work but its custom bent pipes, I also have the CAI from LS Koncepts along with a addapter that was made by a friend of mine that is a bit longer ( I had trouble fitting other filters on it) along with a Blitz CAF ( cold air filter).


My car is now at the body shop getting the rear decklid area filled in and my bumper is getting cut to fit a Liscense plate surround from another vehicle on it instead of the trunk area. And I am putting the 03+ outer lights on the rear with them smoked on the top half to the same color as my other lenses.


The thing I need some help with is Ideas on my rev. lights. I was thinking some thing round on the lines of the Cobalts rev. lights. What does anyone else think?

Have any other good ideas?

Where do you want to mount the lights? If you are going to be frenching the plate into the bumper cover why not do the rev. lights too? Or go w/ some small but superbright LEDs and use them to hang the plate on, would be a pretty clean finish if you could find some bright enough.

Now thats a more civilized way to start things off. I know the Pontiac G5 has its lights on the bumper next to the license plate. You could probably get those to fit.

This sounds odd, but I actually have been thinking about the lights beeing on the bumper as well. The odd part is I have been thinking of something with a bit more design to stand out like, bumper lenses off of a RX-7. The first thought was mounting factory front lenses with clear LED's on the rear.

Using the lights from the G5 you could mount them vertically too. In my opinion round lights wouldnt look good on the LS. Wouldnt flow with its lines. There used to be a post on here with various pictures showing an LS moddified exactly like your doing. The trunk was shaved clean and license plate was mounted in the bumper.

Up and down conflicts with the horizontal front bumper lens. I think the horizontal with maybe some round ones on the trunk wont look bad.

IMO round ones on the trunk period wont look bad with 03+ headlights, I think Im going to snag those headlights with the tails........
