can the red lens come off the taillight? taillight keeps leaking. i've searched high and low and haven't found out how to get them apart. do i do the same as the headlights procedure?

You most likely don't need to reseal. On both of my LS'es, the passenger side tail light leaked. Each one had a hairline crack in the black back plastic part. Right where one of the vertical sections met a horizontal section. I used black silicone to seal it up well, and never had the issue again.

i have read this many times, ''mine had a hairline crack''. its not clear to me on where the crack could be. i've looked at it very closely, anywhere i thought water could get in, didn't look like there were any crack.

I had to remove my tailight, take it into the house, clean it off well, and very closely examine the black plastic back portions. The crack was barely visible, but it was there.
