Replaced Thermostat Housing on 06 Lincoln LS

I'm new to the forum. I just replaced my thermostat housing (including thermostat). In the process of bleeding the air and adding coolant the engine started overheating after the fan kicked on. This was after running the heater on high for several minutes, then turning heater off. I can hear the water boiling/bubbling in the smaller hose that attaches to the bottom of the housing. Any thoughts?

1. Did you assembly the new thermostat correctly?
