Well I finally got the fuel pump replaced. The car starts right up wit no problem. I put the fuel gauge back up and its still reading around 22. The car seems to run fine. The car does bog down a little bit but not enough to stop and pull over. What else could it be?

Not much when the pump is ruled out.

Filter
Pressure regulator
Damaged fuel line

Those come to mind first. I think there is also a check valve for the return line at the pump? Not sure.

the fuel lines all look normal to me. i rep;aced the regulator and the injectors and aslo the fuel rail. maybe ill drive it some more and see what happens. the only bad thing is its out of inspection and i got my 1st speedin ticket yesterday coming home from the dealer. 50 in a 35 go figure.

if you replaced the regulator try pulling the vacuum line to it. If it does nothing than you need a new regulator.

I would change the fuel filter too...

All pulling the FPR line will do is increase pressure in the lines but it will not make the car run different, it will just run heavy with fuel and the PCM will adjust.

22 is indeed low. I thought 32 to 39 was ideal. The pressure increases when under higher RPM. I think my WOT was at 42.

IIRC by pulling the line it simulates WOT fuel pressure.

are you running an adjustable FPR? or a stock one?
if stock them thats probably the problem. if your already using an adjustable one make sure your ideling and removing the vac line and plugging it when your set your pressure.

wood i replaced my message center and now my fuel gauge doesnt want to work ..... any ideas?

There is one fuse that runs through the radio and the fuel gauge and a few other things. I plugged a messed up radio into my 93 I had and the fuel gauge flip around on me, all it ended up being was one fuse...
