I got the rear end with all suspension removed and the front two mounts of the unit broke 3 sockets and then stripped. I thought it would be a good idea to grind the heads off the bolts and then they would just slide off. WRONG! now what do I do.
The second pic shows the mount and the bkurry third pic is the part that is got me stuck.
Any help would be great, I know its kind of a hak job on those front supports but im pissed now.

No torch avail huh? Know anybody that can let you load theirs up and borrow it for a few dollars maybe?

Do you care about the car? Could run a reciprocating saw through that crap maybe.. Or between the top of the IRS subframe/body mount and just cut the bolt in half maybe?

ya I need a sawsall. Maybe Ill get one tomorrow. I dont believe how tight those bolts were. the back two came right out.

Well usually you hear about the inside nut letting go and the whole bolt and nut just spinning. Maybe a craftsman or nicer 6 point socket would have helped? ..assuming that's not what you used.. ..Too late now anyways!

Well, those are my only thoughts on it. Torch & hammer, or cut through the bolt.

I was hacksawing it for a minute but im lazy. Ill sawsall it next weekend.

I am installing the suspension and powertrain from a wrecked 08 Shelby GT. engine, suspension, manual trans the works! Gonna be one bad azz Mark when Im done if it was true.

Ya im parting it out, I guy can dream right?

See the link in my sig.
