This was a Lincoln dealer option, 4 button key fob that controls engine start and shut off, rear defrost, headlights- horn on car finder and trunk release, global open up to 500 ft away. Don't know about winter applications but will definitely cool things down on hot days this summer. I have tested in multi level parking garages and grocerey stores. The signal has no problem penatrating cement or brick walls. This is my kind of cool toy. All I need is joy stick!
