Recall Notification

I received my recall letter today for the SCDS on my Mark VIII.
Has anyone else? Parts will be in on the 4th quarter of 2007. I have to call for an appointment. Can I take it to any Ford dealer? Or does it have to be a Lincoln dealer?

either one would be fine. both bands are affected w/ that issue, not just lincolns. so it does not matter which place you take it to, they both are going to carry the part anyway.

i got mine earlier this week,
i have checked my switch and it is bone dry,si i will wait till late this year and only take it in one time,
i am not going there twice this year.if my switch was leaking i would take it in now .

besides,looking where it is on our cars (94 and up) i cant see that fluid ever getting somewhere hot enough to light,unless it was pouring out.

Just received mine today. If I can't get the whole recall kit with the new switch, I just might buy it anyway. I never agreed with ford just installing a fused harness, even when I was performing them. It just makes more sense to delete the harness and install the new redesigned switch.
