After much searching I haven't found a clear answer. I need 2 rear adjustable tie rods .

Ford wants $270 each for OEM replacements. I've ordered 2 from ebay, got literally 500km on them and they're worn. Got 2 from primechoice auto parts, even less km on them. I drive like an old man...

It appears nobody makes a quality replacement, can anybody recommend something affordable that will get me more than a tank of gas down the road?

I can't justify spending $600 from Ford... I'm at the point where I'm sourcing parts to cut and weld to make my own... This is insane...

Thank you.

Mevotech made them for a while. There was a jaguar parts shop that made a solid version of them for a while too. A couple people on here have fabricated their own using threaded rod and Heim joints. Either try to track those down or just pony up for the Motorcraft ones.

Last time I bought some, which was 2+ years ago, they were going for $150/ea on average and I got mine (motorcraft) from an online dealer closeout for $80/ea.
