Hey LVC,

I'm relatively new here but I been creeping alot. I have an 06 with the 12 speakers 6cd non-THX and I am wiring an amp and sub from instructions in the last post on this thread.

I used a remote wire from fuse 18 in the passenger kick pannel with a switch in the glove box. The aftermarket amp and subs work fine, but now the stock subs wont work. Whether the switch is on or off (not that the switch has anything to do with it), but I was hoping they would stay working for when I have the girl or mom or whoever who hate bass I could switch it off and still hear at least stock bass. I only tapped into the right speaker + wire and the bare cable wrapped in tape.

I ran the diagnostics on the radio (3&6 all speakers work fine but the rears) no popping or hissing.

I guess what I want to know is does the amp know its lines have been tapped into or is it a bad connection? Could I run the power and ground of the stock amp to the battery/a ground and remote into a fuse box in a home made harness and only keep the stock signal wires? Which fuse should i run to so it doesn't drain my battery? I don't need a switch on this wire it would be alright if it was always on.:confused::confused::confused:
