So after replacing bushings for both control arm(the tires moved when it was pushed on) and the problem of the clucking continued. Now they say the shock mount is bad like you guys suggested. I guess they tighten the two nuts for each mount and now the clucking and shifting rear end issue is not present. Should I go ahead and replace the mounts anyways and what exactly should I replace them with since it was said here earlier I can replace them but they will go bad again. Is it the bushings for the shock mount that wear off? Any polyurethane replacements? Thanks guys.

Just burn the rubber out of the old shock mounts then use the new bushings that come with the shock.

that's what i did. but i also cut the mount down a little. there is a piece that sticks up that i just ground off.
