Hey guys,
Need some thoughts on what could be happening with my rear park assist. This should be a relatively new topic, no?

Anyway, for the past several weeks my sensors have been acting goofy. Everytime i put it in reverse, the beeping starts like there's something close by, even if there is nothing anywhere close. To make it worse, the parking lot where i park has a small hill/elevation (idk what to call it) to get in or out. In order to get out i need to back-out, as soon as the rear wheels get down the beeping becomes constant(as if something was right up against my bumper.) I can post pics of the slight elevation tomorrow, to see if you guys think its high enough to justify the beeping, but i've been parking here for almost a year, and it just started doing this.

I guess its no big deal as they still do their job when i need to park. However its getting pretty annoying, especially when backing out of the driveway and having to wait for cars to let me get out while the consistent beeping deafens myself and my passengers lol

I tried cleaning the sensors themselves really good, but nothing don't know what else I could check, thats within my level of expertise. They worked fine before this, even though my bumper has been resprayed twice since I've owned it. Any thoughts?

In addition to the two ultrasonic sensors that you can see, there is a radar sensor that you can't. It does the long range detection. I wonder if it might be caked with mud or if it's bracket might be bent a little causing it to look more towards the ground? I'd check that, as well as making sure the ultrasonic ones are pointed correctly. (The radar sensor is behind the bumper cover, about in the middle.)

Are you lowered? Since I installed the Eibachs I noticed a little, shall we call it, sensitivity. The slope of my average driveway will set it off if I approach too swiftly.

You know you can turn the warning off, yes? There is a switch between the map lights in the overhead "console".

Thanks Joe...do you know if I can get to them from underneath? or do i need to remove the bumper? (hope not)

I am lowered. I have around 20k on the springs, but I hadn't really noticed any extra "sensitivity," until now that it is.

And yup i know i can turn it off, but i've become so reliant on it over the years that sometimes i dont turn around to look back when i'm backing up so I'm afraid of turning it off, and say one day i'm parking and i forget i turned it off until i'm reminded by the car behind me lol
