rear end

For an LSD, you would get a carrier for a 8.8 28 spline.. if your thinking about gears, only ls gears can be used.. if you just needed the size, Alex is correct..

Well, they did use an 8.0 rear is some old mustangs. Maybe that's what those gears are for.

i just wondering i just got off the phone with drivetrainspecialist and they told me they have a bearing kit for the ls that runs 159.04 and there 3.80 8in r/p is the same for the ls and the richmand r/p runs 193.03

if to say that is true they would work just to say guys would the 3.80 be better then the 3.55 for take off would it get me out the hole better

A little. It would also improve mileage slightly for in town driving. It would lower your overall top speed, and slightly lower your highway gas mileage.

Too bad they are only 3.80's. I want to go 4.30's, and would be sweet if there were some that would fit in this pumpkin.

YOu want to get out of the hole faster, get a higher stall converter.

i would like to put a stall converter in but i dont have the set up to do it at my house i just trying to find stuff i can do in my garage that dont need a lift

and if they do work that website i put up sells the 4.11 and 4.62 gears i know they not 4.30 like you want but they close to it i wonder how them 5.43's would run i bet that would be a mean take off

and for gas mileage who worries about that lol but i dont normal go that far about 10-20 miles from my house and the speed limit only 45 on one road and 65 on the other and every now and then i might go 50 miles away but thats not often

Get the part numbers for them, the Ford 8 inch and 8.0 are not even close to being the same. The 8 inch is just like the 9 with a removable third member up front and no differential cover on the back, solid axle.
