rear disc brakes

the guy i bought it off said every since he replaced the rear pads the brakes never worked again
i think he never knew that you have to turn the pistons into the caliper
so he prolly messed the caliper all the hell
the power brakes are out because of this and my pedal is stiff as a rock
but you can stop with what lil the front brakes will catch

my question is if he jammed the piston into the caliper could it be fixable without replacing the caliper?
it looks to be an expensive repair see'n as how i bought the car for 500 bux and the calipers are 100+ apeice
 
you might as well give it a try. Its not like your brakes can get any worse, just keep an eye on the reservoir and lights. But you never know what your gonna find in there.
