Aight kiddies i just got my kit from mY man over in the big city of the burg and i got to admit i thought it was going to be a little harder then it was. i was kinda leary about playin wit wires from my electrical system for my air ride. god if i messed up i would have well i dunno. But im pretty good with wiring audio visual stuff so why not give this a whirl. I started like 1 hr before dark on sat basically took everything apart and got it ready and tried to figure everything out. i had everything ready then drove to my house where i couldent wait to get up the next day to finish this kit. i woke up bright and early and it was cold as a stone out. i found where i left off and was stuck on the black connector so i gave ray a call. Ray and i talked for awhile a pretty long time actually. damn nice guy felt like i knew him since i was little. i got up went to the store got a few extra supplies becouse i messed somthing up the night before totally my fault i cut the wires. i got everything in and tried it out. i dropped the front only so i had to find out what i did wrong. i found out one of my ez splices didnt make it through the wire so i fixed that and flipped the switch and she came down like a mudslide in africa. getting her back up was another story. as i was installed the switch to my center console one of the wires came off. i freaked and gave ray a call but his phone was actin up. i went through all the wires and found the problem and got it under control.
overall all i want to say it i love this kit.

please excuse any misspelled words im just finishing a 16 hr shift at work and had 2 hrs of sleep the night before and i just downed a few beers my pops had in the fridge. thanks ray

heres a pic i took

So how is the drivability with the car all the way down? Any rubbing during turns or anything?

There is ALOT of driveability problems with the car when it is that low. The tires do not rub.....AT ALL, even when making turns, BUT you have NO suspension when you are that low. Have you ever seen the ricer cars that seem to 'bounce' as they go down the road? Well, you make them look like they are driving perfectly when you are slammed and rollin. The car bounces all over the place, even on somewhat smooth roads. That stance I ONLY recommend if you are parking the car in a parking lot, or at a show.......NO other time. I am speakin from experience here, because I drive my car that low ALL the time here in PA, and I have gone thru 4 COMPLETE front ends in the 2-3 years I have owned my purple car. I mean BOTH sides upper/lower ball joints, inner/outer tie rods, and of course a few sets of tires in the process.

You can drive it that low, but I DO NOT recommend it. I will take a video of what it looks like in the very near future as to what I am talkin about with the car that low and how it bounces so I can clarify what I mean......but I think you get the idea.

That makes no sense, why would you drive your car like that all the time knowingly causing all the problems. I can understand doing it once, but 4 front ends in two years? You'd think you take your own advice..lol :p

What knob?

There is another gentleman that sells something similar, but different.....lol. His kit has a knob and you can adjust the height of the car that way. And it is somewhat adjustable, where my kit is either the height that you drive at, or slammed to the ground. Here is the other kit that I think he is speaking about. You can adjust the height down, or even up if necessary (that link is to a write up and instructions on that kit). You have to open/close the door for it to take effect after you adjust the knob. That kit is like $125 where mine is $35 (basic kit), or $42 (upgraded kit). Now, with his kit like I said, you can adjust the height (either up or down) and my kit is all the way down or nothing. If you only plan on slammin the car, and you are not sensor lowered then my kit is perfect, but if you want more adjustability then his kit is the way to go. However you can do it all manually with a few switches along with my kit.....much more work involved, but still WAY cheaper than $125.

Because I love being lower than most cars on the road, and at the time I was makin the money that it did not matter to me that I rebuilt the front end so many times......I do all the work myself. You have NO idea how many ppl look at you when you drive by that low........I maybe 37, but have a heart/mind like a child..... :Beer

I know what your talking about, i use to have my vii lowered. Realzed handling and ride is much better at factory ride hieght. I get more looks now with the five speed. People pull up to me constantly at the light and parking lots "YO man! Did you just shift gears in that lincoln?? SICKK!" LOL

VERY BUMPY RIDE WHEN LOWERED. not bad tho. try it. i know i did. and probably wont do it on my 97.

when my compressor went out i had to drive about 20 miles on the friggen ground it was cool havin everyone lookin but the ride SUCKED it would bounce all over the damn place just over rumble strips

its not as bad as we make it out to be thou.

if you say so, it bounced like a rail drag car just backing it out of the shop and now my friend wants to make a pro street mk8 so at least i inspired him and now as soon as my check makes it to ray and i get mine i too will be layin on the ground (when parked)

Yeah, this is a very easy install. Im a young buck and Ive installed my headunit, amp wires, etc. Im fairly gifted for my age as some might say. Im going to do a little tweaking on this kit to get exactly what i want out of it. Definitely the thing to buy if you go to car shows and just want to clown on people. Ive had a few people ask if my bags were bad within the last week or so that Ive had the kit installed. Heres a pic of my car if some of you missed it.

yea i had to take some seasick pills after riding around for two days with my car slammed. even when i wasent it the car and just sitting at the computer everything seemed to bounce as if i was still in the car. i wouldent recomend it but its cool having some low as$ smonda civic dropped to the ground next to you at the light and you flip the switch and the mark drops and the lil smonda guy just stares like howd he b doin dat shiyrt right derrrrrrr farilzel.

I CANT WAIT TO GET SOME 20'S TUCKIN UNDER THERE THO OMG

Youre not exactly supposed to drive slammed. Its mostly for car shows or going 5mph through car shows or cruises.
