Rain X

Yes, it works. I have used it on my cars and in the rain the windshield says clear with a light mist and the rain streaks off the glass quite nicely.

I worked at WaterWay Gas and Wash for 4 months and i can tell you that, when applied correctly to a clean windshield, it can do wonders. it lasts for a pretty healthy amount of time to. We apply it to our 20$+ car washes, and for an extra 5$ to any carwash less then 20$

I've been using it for years and it works great. Like he said when applied properly and frequently. I've driven in heavy rain with the wippers of. It is more useful at +40mph speeds. if you do a lot of slower driving don't bother.:D :D

I love the stuff. I have heard not to apply it where the rain sensor it though. I don't know if that's a big deal or not. I've applied it there a few times before I knew and it didn't seem to bother the sensitivity, but I make sure to go around it now.

"Waterway Gas and wash" I never thought i would hear that on this forum. I used to manage one here in STL. Im glad that u like the servie you got.

Rain X works great. Used it on all of my cars.

yep i use it. i've gone over the rainsensor 2 or 3 times before i heard not to. now ijust go around it

Thanks everyone, I will start using it. I had a vehicle once that had acid rain spots that were almost impossible to remove ( I have the solution if anyone needs it). I wonder if rain X will help (prevent) acid rain spots or any other fall out.

Yea, worked great on my LS, rarelly used my wipers unless it from mist from cars I was following. It was "close out" at my store I worked at so I got a few bottles for nothing :).

Yeah, don't put it on the glass over the sensor, or the auto wipers won't function properly. If you do get it on there, just clean it off, and it'll be OK.

RainX is great stuff. I've used it for a long time (back when it used to be expensive). I've also used the Armor All window treatment that is basically the same (I prefer the RainX though), and there are imitators that you can occasionally find in the dollar type stores that work OK too.

I'm on a mission to try Aquapel next. I read it is excellent, and that it stays on much longer than RainX.

You mean some peoples auto wipers do function correctly? :p
Well, I've been told that they do, although I was never able to confirm it on my '04. :D

Well, along with new wipers for my entire fleet, (it's that time of year) I treated the LS and the Z3 to a fresh coat of Rain-X. It's supposed to rain tomorrow, I almost can't wait. How sick is that!
