Radio Lights

Hey guys, i have a 2001 Lincoln LS. It has the stock alpine radio in it, however, i am having problems with the lights on it. The display lights up perfectly fine but the lights on the buttons have worked maybe twice in a two year time frame. Any ideas?

I've seen solder issues on the PCB that the display, buttons, and button backlights are mounted on. I fixed a similar OEM headunit on a Grand Marquis with this issue a while back.

Would it be worth taking apart and attempting to fix or would you assume that i would be better off just purchasing a different one?

Well, if you are going to buy a replacement anyway, then you don't have much to lose...
