Putting a sony xav60 inthe wifes car, hookup harness, radio works, go to install then somehow blow a fuse..checked fuse panel 1 where the radio fuse is, its good, fuse in radio is good, dont know where to look now. Tested factory radio, it doesn't work. Someone please help ASAP . Car is a '00 ls

There are fuses in the cabin, in the trunk, and under the hood. I would check all three places, but concentrate on the cabin panel and the trunk panel. Don't just look at them. Use a meter or test light to verify each one.

I would check the wiring over closely to make sure that you didn't cut any of the wires in there, after checking the fuses as Joe suggested. It's not hard to get the wiring harness between the radio and something sharp when installing the radio. Since it worked when you tested before sliding the radio in but not after, this is what I would suspect. Good luck.

Found the fuse, replaced, factory subs and amp hum but no sound

well seeing how we cant see everything you've done, its gonna be hard for us to find the problem.

do you have the RCA connectors plugged into the right place?

places to start, does the radio actually output the proper signal?

is any of the wiring damaged?

are you using the right harness?

do you have it connected right?

does the subs work with the factory radio? (this is probably where i would start, if they dont work, then you problem is with the car, if they do, then your problem is either with the equipment or the install)
