I have an 03 and noticed a good amount of oil in the plug wells. Will a dealer replace a vcg under the extended warranty even if I don't have a coil failing? I know the oil is one of the causes for the cops to fail but I don't think I have a coil issue (yet) just a lot of oil in the wells.

Yea I read the letter and it was unclear to me as well so I figured I would ask. I'm concerned that it will be interpreted like you said Joe and eventho there is oil all over since the coils seem ok they'll tell me pis off.

Any way to make a coil go bad in a couple days? Haha

if I un plug a coil just a set of that cel do you think they'll stress test that coil or just read the code and replace it and chalk it up to the oil in the well.

If they correctly follow the warranty procedure, they'll stress test it.

I think that maybe he should just call the dealer and ask.

well, on the bright side, if driven long enough with a lot of oil in the wells, the coils will fail.
