i have ccfl's in my headlight housing as well as some carbon fiber eyebrows. i'm about to paint my car and i ultimately want to paint the bezel to match the car. how can i go about removing the headlights again without damaging the ccfl's or the eyebrows? i put clear silicone on there so that's why i'm asking. or would it be better to just trade out the ones i have and ask for a little extra for the ccfl's and eyebrows? any suggestions appriciated.

Did you glue the eyebrows on??? I thought they just stuck on and stayed?

If you can't get the eyes off.. Hopefully, the painter is good enough to take off the rings and paint around them. If not, then maybe a razor blade or dremel to cut away at the silicone??? Just a thought.

yeah the eyebrows are just glued on but if i take them off i don't think they'll stick back on afterwards. and i'm not really worried about taking the rings out of place because the bezel is seperate from it. what i'm worried about is, if the heat from the oven will melt away the rings. i need to open the housing once again but it isn't the same as the first time because 1. it has silicone and 2. the rings might get damaged. i want to know if anyone else has tried this. thanks for the response tho
