can you take the front air shocks off and put the replacement regular non air ride shocks on and leave the rear air bags on? does this cause problems? just curious. thanks for the help

American Air Suspension sells full stock-height and 1.5"-lowered kits, as well as "Front Only" and "Rear Only" kits: http://www.americanairsuspension.com/

The only problem I might imagine would be with the air ride computer trying to auto-level when parked or at highway speeds (when the air ride would drop 0.8"). Someone more knowledgeable on here probably has the workaround for that.

The front suspension of your car is a combination Air spring/strut. Not just an air shock. Yes you can keep your rear air springs set up. Follow the link in Iszi's post and that will answer your questions. Try a search section for more detailed info, as this is a rather "well traveled road."

^^^what he said. I ran front coils for a few months then I converted fully over to coils

Ya, what are you saving anyway? Not much, all you need is rear coils and those are pretty cheap!
