i bought a 00 ls 8cylinder sport package 2 months ago with 76000 miles with all the history on it. now the air conditioning has failed on the passenger side when i drove from fla to nc. i'm not sure if the freeon needs to be recharged or what. any ideas.
also the tranny feels like it hiccups accelerating in the 40-70 mph range.

The AC issue has been discussed before. There are three things that can cause the problem. One is a faulty control unit which happened to mine. Search on A/C and it should come up. As for the tranny issue, a possible quick fix is to disconnect the battery for about 30 minutes and reconnect. After that go out and drive the car at a good pace. If the hesitation continues then the PCM may need to be reflashed by the dealer.

also i gota 2000 ls v8 sport package its got the 17 inch rims with the bump shift does that mean its an ls8 or lse? what does all that mean, ls8 lse?

ls8 means ls v8 ls6 means ls v6 lse did not start until 2002 and i do not know what the e stands for but you do not have an lse. the difference with the e is the body kit and you can see the exhaust tips and the rims. i dont know if i am missing anything
