Are you guys with 18” rims on your LS’s satisfied? The reason why I’m asking is because I’m interested in getting a set of 18’s for my LS but the more and more I see pic’s of LS’s with 18’s they look kinda… small. I already have the Eibach lowering springs on my car and a majority of the pic’s I’ve seen the people have Eibach springs. There still looks like a nasty gap in there, or maybe it’s just the tires they’re using. I don’t know but I’m really close to buying a set of 18’s and I want to make sure I’m not going to be disappointed.

I didn't have much of a gap with my 18s..

Its neither tire nor wheel, its the springs. When upgrading wheel sizes you should match the tire size accordingly to get the same over all diameter as stock.

No springs for the LS lower it enough to tuck tire from what I have seen unless someone has done extra work.

my ride is rough with 18's, and that means that 20's are only gonna be worse. I'd say get 18's and lower it.

I forgot how good your car looked with 18's! WOW!!! What tires do you have on them? You have the Eibach springs as well right?
After I put the Eibach springs on my car it got rid of the nasty tire gap. I just want a good flow of the car, know what I mean!

245/45-18 Nankang tires. 245/40s woulda been a bit better for the rears since they rubbed when I had people in the car.

I have 20s and the sprint springs and I put my winter tires on about a month ago and the 20s ride just about the same maybe a little better I think

The wheels I'm leaning towards getting are the Stern St-1's but I can't decide on either the chrome or Hyperblack.

Another question for you guys. I've never bought a set of rims before and the listing say it comes with Tuner Lugs and Hub Centric Rings. What are Tuner Lugs and Hub Centric Rings?

Just aftermarket lugs to fit the wheels and the rings are to center the wheels on the hub. I've run both 18s and 19s without them with no problems.

You might not need the rings, I dont need them with my ADRs and Sterns are pretty much the same thing ( same company makes em ) but the lugs are good to have. Not only do they fit in the lug hole better but they are almost impossible to round out like the stock lugs that give people headaches.

That's great news to hear!

Also one more question or maybe a couple of more questions:
What do you guys do with your stock rims? What's a good asking price if I were to sell them? I bought the tires last year and the tread is still really good on them.

Frogman buys them for $1, but the shipping is on you.

Save 'em for winter. The most best thing you can do other than autosocks.

Yep snow tires on them, then you have dedicated winter wheels.

 @ autosocks

I now:shifty: . It just sounded cool:D

But another thing I do is slap them on when I need to take the car in for servicing. Thats a good idea if you ever seen the way some of those guys fly up onto the lifts!
