While out running arrands I decided to go into SST mode and see if the transmission a learn my shift points based on rpm range, after a few runs I noticed that now say at a rpm range of 1500 up to 2000 my shift points are quicker which results in a better pedal response and the car does not feel sluggish and or heavy as it picks up speed from a complete stop.

When in the 2000 to 3000 rpm range at half throttle, the shift points seem quick and it pick up speed faster, and it does not drop into say fourth gear from five to speed up it just go.

Wide open throttle the shifts are fast RPMS get quicker to the 4000 range and she runs like hell.

My question is do the transmission learn at specific rpm ranges or is this just my imagination?
All responses are welcome and thanks for any input or information in advance.

Just your imagination. SST mode and regular mode are independent of each other. I would suspect you are applying pressure to the loud pedal differently.

is it just mine, or is the SST on the LS terrible. changing down gear takes like 2 seconds on my LS.

Ok I see. Now how can I get it to shift better in automatic and minimal rpm range like say 1200 to 1500, cause I hate having to gas it to get it to shift every time.

Can't have cake everyday!

Of course it takes a moment to adjust, the RPM has to be in the right zone to even allow the downshift.

take a look at 5:10 in this video,

I drop it from 3rd to 2nd, I make the selection at about 3300 RPM,
a slight delay as it forces the RPMs down, then changes into 2nd at 2200'ish RPM.

Not much of a delay, even if it does, it's somewhat to be expected I would imagine.

More than normal, no worries.

no, its the system... at the end of the day, its still a totally an automatic transmission. some times she shifts fast, most times she shifts slow. same with up shifts. sometimes it just takes longer than others... far from a something like a twin clutch paddle shift trans.
