Question about head units

I really want to get the AVIC-X940BT once I get a LS. Its double din, does that mean I need to get a LS with the Nav? It appears to me the stock stereo is also double din but with a overlay. I'm guessing it doesn't matter right?

You'd be better off to get one without factory navigation. The wiring is easier that way. It's more difficult with the factory nav because of the external factory amps and it's a rare option so most harness adapters don't deal with it correctly.

You can get a double din faceplate/adapter that fits the LS, or you can buy and modify the face plate for the factory nav.
