Puddle Lights.......success!

i measured the bulb coverted to mm and i came up with this bulb

WHITE MSMT 6 LED DOME LIGHT 3022 3021 DE3175 6428 6430. i have ordered so in a few days i will know for sure but im98% positive....hope this helps some of you guys out that wanted to do this mod
 
i actually removed the entire mirror to get it out but it was very easy. stick the screw driver in the slot and one side will pop out and then use the flat head to pry on the outside. very easy, i wont remove the mirror on the other side. dont pull the lens off of the housings until you have the bulbs. you will then have to epoxy the lens back to the housing
 
i tried once but it didnt come out right away, So i stopped before i broke something...
 
ok u guys got me....but it was a good one, the one where he went to iraq....did i just say that??
 
i tried some festoon 6 led bulbs from superbrightled and they where no where near as bright as the orignals so i ordered a set of wide angle 12 led with the 914 base and just soldered wires to the bulb and the terminal and epoxied them in straight, the light output was much better but the cool white color is a little more purple than the cool white 6 led lights that are in the dome and the license plate, dont get me wrong they look 1000 times better than the stock bulbs, but i would like the color to be a little closer. you would think that if you ordered the light from the same place, in the same color, that they would look the same. more led's should be brighter (which they were) not a different color (which they also where)
 
I have the 03+ mirrors with lights. The bulbs in them are brighter and leave more light on the ground than the LED bulbs in my friend's Montego (OEM mirrors and bulbs) which pretty much just have small spot of the light on the ground. They are white, and not yellow like mine but useless.

Never bothered to use LED bulbs because of that.
 
thats why i switched over from the 6 LED to the 12 LED wide angle. the light output damn near the stock
