Prospective LS buyer

I don't know what price range you're in, but the new 2006s can be had for the $28,000 range (sticker =$42,000). Lincoln is offerring MAJOR incentives on these.

What's a fair price for a 2006 with 10-15k miles? I've seen a couple with these specs, probably rentals. KBB and the like always price em up near or past $30,000, but if they really let the new 06's go with those giant rebates I would think a used 06 would be much cheaper (dealers are generally asking mid $20k's sticker). I'd just like to get an idea of what I might expect to be able to bargain the dealer down to. thanks

btw the 2005 I was originally thinking of was already sold to someone else when I went back for it :( Now I've got the LS fever and I won't settle for anything else! lol :D

I'm on the phone with a dealer about 200 mi away--he ran out to go get some more details on the car. 06, 13k mi, no navi. We'll see what kind of price I can get him down to. Exciting!
If any one near Texas City wants to go take a test drive for me I'm sure we can work out some little reward ;)

He wouldn't go under $25k. Too much for me. OH well. The search continues....

I bought one a few hours ago! 2006 Vivid Red. Wheeee!

Tint first, then maybe an intake, then who knows... :)

We all know.....What's available that is.....But congrats. Those are a very nice color on an LS.

alright thought the answer i got in my previous thread made it clear regarding the sport package, but now this thread got me confused again. so all 06 V8s dont have the sports suspension? how can you tell if it has it if there isnt the difference in the bumpers (chrome vs no chrome) to check with?

The wheels will be the most obvious deviation. Sooner, please correct me if I am wrong, but any 06 LS with 16-inch wheels will not have the sport suspension, and will also not have the SelectShift transmission. This is all explained in the 06 Order Guide which I would attach, but is apparently exceeds the forum upload limits. But trust me, that is the way to tell.

Todd has it correct. You could order a 2006 LS with 16" wheels, so you could use snow chains (the order guide says it's only supposed to be ordered in areas that require snow chains). If you got the 16" wheels, you got the non-Sport suspension (base shocks) and the non-SST shifter.

Guess how I know. ;)

The easiest way to tell on the '06es is to look at the shifter. If it's an SST shifter, it's got the sport suspension; if not, it has the base shocks. I'd say to look at the wheels, but mine, for example, now has the 17" wheels (off of an '04 LSE).
