Proper key fob

I just found a brand new key fob in my desk drawer that I originally bought for my 2004 Crown Vic. Looking at the #'s on the back of it and comparing them to the #'s on the back of a fob that came with the LS, which #'s are the most important to match that will let me know if this fob can be matched to the LS?

There is a part #, FCCID #, and CAN #.

A portion of the part number matches:

LS fob: 3B: F87B-15K601-AA
CV fob: 3W73-15K601-AA

Any ideas?

Of course part numbers are going to be different.. Umm.. But the rest matches and I would think that the FCCID is what would need to match..

If your LS is 2003 to 2006, then it will probably work. There's no harm in trying to program the car to it to see.

The FCCID only relates to the radio emissions certification for the FCC.

got a 06 contour to match. it's all about the frequency. the key, on the other hand, is different.
