In my other thread I talked about the possibility of towing with my LS. Then I stated that I did it but I didn't have any photographic proof. So here you go.

PS: $700 for the trailer from Northern Tool and it goes down the road as loaded at 75 MPH while getting an average of 19 MPG. I'm pretty happy with the results!!

looks great. thumbs up for doing something custom and unique, but not only that, it's something that serves a big purpose to your lifestyle.

were you the one with the hidden hitch idea? notice any drag when going uphill? I bet it tows better than my moms trailblazer lol

I'm not the one with the home made custom hidden hitch. I just bought mine "off the rack" from etrailer.com. But it's still technically a hidden hitch. the only thing you can see is the square reeiver portion of the hitch. the rest is behind the fascia. my "other" thread

As for dragging while going up a hill, I really haven't noticed that. But I don't live in a very hilly region, either. The biggest area that I notice it is stopping. I don't know if i need to try different pads or consider a rotor upgrade or what.

A friend of mine has a GMC Jimmy with the same type of trailer setup. I can easily out-accelerate him. Plus, his top speed with a trailer is 70MPH. Unless he turns off his a/c, then he can get about 75MPH. But even then he's getting 13 MPG!

I'll try to remember to get a picture of the rear of the car without the trailer on.

I said I was going to tow for my a part of vacation this year as well.

Here is my setup

Now the rear is low because the trunk is packed solid for what was a two week trip. Hitching up the trailer made no difference in ride height.

yes, the LS will tow quite well for a car. I am now pulling a 16ft jet boat with the custom stealth hitch and have not experienced any dragging issues yet. It pulls the boat up the ramp without any problem!

Looks good, JES! I've always wanted a VFR, too...Know anyone looking to buy an '03 GSXR1000 (not pictured) so I can get a VFR? hehe
