The previous owner put a battery maintainer under the hood and wired it into the fuse box. Is this safe?

It's safe if he was careful with the wiring, but I don't like how it's blocking airflow to the radiator.
When I've added battery maintainers to anything, I added a 12V quick disconnect and kept the AC part of the maintainer outside of the vehicle.
Wired like that, I would think that it might be drawing some current from the battery when it is not plugged into AC.

Yeah, that is the part I thought about being the hot heat is around the corner with the season change.
I will just take your suggestion and add a quick disconnect in place of how it's now so I can take it out when I don't need it. It just worried me not knowing anything about how it was done!

So right now it would be wise to remove the way he had it? I don't plan on parking this car much now as it's currently my daily driver. I got the car with roughly 44,00 Miles in November and she is close to 50K now and likely in the next week or so will pass that.
