I'm in my car for about 1.5 hours every day and haven't had the cash to put a new cd player in the car. However, I wanted to listen to music through my phone...specifically via bluetooth. I've done hours of research and tried numerous products and have found one to work quite well....

I've had the Gogroove for a few days and really like it. It's pretty simple and syncs up quickly to the phone. I have an HTC Evo 4g. Since it is an FM transmitter, I assumed the music quality would be pretty crap but I can honestly say I am amazingly surprised...it sounds damn good.

It is really simply and finds an 'empty' fm station for you and you can use your phone to control the music or the controls on the gogroove itself.

It's made fairly well and although it does look kinda weird in the car, the blue and red lights actually look pretty decent. As you can see, it also acts as a charger and came with the cables to charge my phone which was a nice surprise.

I am experimenting with it in my center console and it seems to work pretty well there too.

I don't work for gogroove or anything but I figured I'd share this 'review' with you guys in case you're looking for something similar without dropping a bunch of money on a new unit. It's about $50 on Amazon/ebay.

If you have questions let me know!

If you want better sound, skip the FM thing and get a PIE adapter. Plugs into where the 6-disc CD changer plugs into on the back of the radio. Has RCA inputs, can either plug into your phones headphone jack, or via a adapter that plugs into the power area (for better quality sound). It costs around $100 new.

Your solution works too though! But if you like bass for example you will quickly notice the deficiencies. Also if you like to play it loud and jam you will probably notice it doesn't sound so great.

I tried a FM transmitter in my '03 (can't use PIE adapters on '03's!) and I had issues with reception, which I blamed on the antennae being in the rear window.

You can. My '03 is living proof ;)

I just hate the look of dongles and wires and stuff in the car. Still hating the fact that there is a curly cord going from the power point to my phone cradle. So seeing some funky gizmo hanging out would drive me insane.

What I want is the 6-CD head unit (like what you have) with the sat auxillary, then get the sat to bluetooth adapter and hide it all up under the dash. It's around $100 as well, but it would sound better then FM.

If I could retain my steering wheel controls, I'd just put in an aftermarket head unit and be done.

then what are you waiting for, many of us have aftermarket headunits with working steering wheel controls.

for example, model SWI-PS
