Hello!! As my last post stated i had trouble with batteries and i continue to have it where the car sometimes won't start and other times it does no problem and my battery is new, well anyway i have a new question and problem.
Has anyone ever had their car start on its own?? This is second time its happened to me and no i don't have a remote starter. I went to my local gym the other day and was there for not even an hour and when i came out my car was running and the lights were on,completely baffled i unlocked car with key fob and entered my car while noticing nothing illuminated on inside such as my dash or headlight switch. I then stepped on brake pedal and car shut off.
I put my key in ignition and car started no problem. This happened to me once before and i took it to dealer and they couldn't figure it out either and told me that it is possible someone in the area had a car starter for their car and hit the frequency channel on mine causing it to start. Ok sounds logical but i don't have a remote starter and if i do is there on from the factory built into our cars,or are there sequences of buttons to push on key fob to get car to start without buying an aftermarket remote starter? Please help!!!
I'm very interested to see what this could be and if i should dump the car before i get royally screwed!!!! Since its not payed off yet!! Thanks!!!

If you bought the car used, how are you sure that you don't have an after-market auto start still in the car under the dash somewhere? That would be my guess right away.

That would be my guess right away.

Seems fairly simple.. doesn't it.

One way to check would be.

Go have a "non pats" copy made of your ignition key.

If a non pats key will start your car, then someone has bypassed or defeated the PATS, which is another sign of a remote start being installed.

does your key fob have a blue button with a snowflake on it? IIRC some LS's have factory remote start.
