Hey, I've searched the forums but could not find an accurate answer concerning the location of a positive hookup under the hood of my Lincoln ls 2005. If I wante to install a relay for my 55w ballast, I don't want to have to run a long cable to the positive on the battery in the trunk. I've checked my fuse box but I'm baffled :/

Unbolt your fuse box under the hood and there will be a 12v+ wire under it you can tap into

No problem. I ran the power wire for my electric cooling fan conversion to the passenger fenderwell on the inside of the car where the positive battery cable bulkhead fitting is located. The factory power wire is the one all the way to the right in this pic.

Hmm I unbolted my fuse and took the bottom compartment off, there's a lot of colored wires. Which one is the 12v to tap into?? And also, when I do find the 12v, how can I tap multiple wires to it? My hid relay-fuse, and angel eyes.

i thought i remembered a bolt inside that distribution box, like connecting the big power wire coming from the battery

a good rule of thumb is to use a digital multimeter. if you do not have one, then get the hell out of your cars electrical system.

the exact same way that you do with one wire, only difference is with more than one wire.

if you dont know how to properly tap in to any wires, then start watching some youtube videos, all that i can say is DO NOT USE ANY "T"TAPS!

There is a big bolt on the side of my fuse bOx, I tried removing it but it was stuck. I'll try to take a pic of it.

+1 on all of this. If you are not sure what you are doing with electrical stuff, leave it to the pros. Nobody wants their LS to catch fire.

I know what bolt you are talking about as I thought that's the one people on here were talking about. That sucker is not coming out lol I tried and stopped short of breaking it.

On the other hand you could do what I did, got the idea from Alax, and just run them into your fuse box.

Big ass bolt on the driver's side of the fuse box under a little flap is the primary power feed to the box. 8ga wire running to it. It has a phillips drive, but use a hex drive on it.
Otherwise, all the leads that don't have fuses are hot, so you can use those "add a circuit" doo-dads. I wouldn't recommend it, because that's a horribly poor connection. But if you can't figure out how to get the primary feed disconnected and a solid connection under it, then that's your next step.
