As title states, Tomorrow im going to be pulling old plugs and replacing them

Stopped by advanced auto and picked up 8 NGK laser iridium's, Didnt pay full price on them. Paid price for the next series down.

Was this a bad decision? I was also looking at the autolites, Which were about same price as the other NGK's

Waste of $$$. Use OEM, the plug the engine was designed and tuned to run on, great plug.

Check out the TECH ARTICLES at the top of the page for how to tips.

The plugs I paid $6.50 each for.

Advanded Auto was sold out of the MotorCraft, along with the regular Iridium Plugs.

What about the AutoLites

reason why i asked for opinions is I dont want the car to run awkward. Right now it shutters 45-60 at times, and is a dog on power -- It comes and goes.

As for the tech articles, Thanks for pointing me there -- Going to print for tomorrows tear down. More than likely I'll just exchange the plugs tomorrow.

Ive decided not to do the plugs tomorrow. Rather than just replacing the plugs, I'm going to replace the coils at the same time

So I just purchased set of 8 coils from ebay -- alanisdeals seller.

along with that picked up KKM intake from lskoncepts ;)

Very good move. Do it all the right way!

Have you checked to see if there is any oil in by the plugs and coils? If there is you are going to want to do your valve cover gaskets right away too or you will just end up with burnt out coils again.

I never liked the Autolites... nor the Champions.

NGK is a great brand, second to the stock Motorcraft plugs. Everyone and their mom uses NGK plugs in anything with a motor these days.

I am running the Bosch Iridium Fusion Plugs and have been pretty happy with them.

I have not checked for oil in the plug wells yet. I will find that out when I remove the coils.

I dont think there is any oil down there though, Im not seeing any spotting around the covers? Its just the car has its days where it runs fine, Or others where its a dog and has loss of power. Shutters at 45-60 entering highway etc.

I did notice though however, When the A/C is off, the car feels as if it has more power? Probably because the fan is hydraulic rather than electric eh?
