Planning to replace the spark plugs on our '04 LS V8 Sport - any special instructions to removing and reinstalling the valve covers? Gasket cleaning, re-sealing, COP or plug grease, etc?

Any access issues? A dealer told me a while back that some plugs are hard to access.

Check the LVC Tech Articles at the top of the site. Start with the Replacing the Coil on Plug (COP) Ignition Coils on an LS V8 article. The plugs are underneath the coils.

Make sure you blow out the area around the spark plugs with compressed air BEFORE you pull the plugs out. Also is good to check with your hand or a rag to see if there's any oil or other substance around the coils before you pull them off. It may help tell you that you already have some coils that may be bad, or at least allow you to clean the issue up before it actually makes a coil go bad.

Spark plug and coil was recently replaced by a shop so I did not see that plug or coil

Some of the plugs have oil on them. Coils all seemed clean.
