Hi,

I just got a 2006 LS last week and have been wondering how it would look with some pin stripes.
I can't do PhotoShop on mine so PLEASE post pictures of yours here.

Thanks,
km

my green 2000 had gold pinstripes.

I think it looks cleaner without them, but to each their own
I agree. It doesn't look bad, and if you like it, go for it, but to me it just looks wrong on the LS.

i had pinstripes, removed them, and it made me love the car alot more. it looks alot cleaner

Thanks for posting your pics everyone.
I'm up in the air still, the pics haven't convinced me noe way or another.

Keep the pictures comeing.

Ok, so let's say someone DOES decide to take them off.. How much? where do you go? Repainting needed?

i didnt have to repaint, i doubt anyone will. i did it myself for free! wait till a really hot day and peel them off or use a heat gun. if you have glue left over on teh car starting fluid or paint thinner will take it right off but be carefull when applying that stuff to your paint make sure you wash it right off

I'd say that depends on the pinstripe. If it's a vinyl decal (like many if not most are), milz's advice is probably good. If it's painted, then, yeah, repainting is likely to be needed. At the very least, I'd think you'd need to have the clearcoat repaired.

if its painted alot of times thats not factory and is above the clear coat, in which case you can use very fine sand paper and wet sand it off then buff to a gloss again. depending on thickness of clear coat etc. i would have an expert do that
