Hi all... I know that I am not the first, but I figured that I would share how this project went. I got a coolant leak from my factory plastic thermostat tower. My car (first Gen) has 126K on it, so I figured to replace a bunch of stuff as a preventative measure. I changed thermostat tower and thermostat outlet, thermostat, water pump, plastic cross over pipe, upper and lower radiator hoses, and degas bottle. Aluminum tower is aftermarket from rockauto fits Jag 4.0. Degas bottle is Dorman, and everything else is Motorcraft. The new water pump from Motorcraft still has a plastic impeller..... The back bolts on the cooling tower are fun, but are doable with a quality 8mm wrench and crows foot. Sorry if the photos are too big I am too lazy to resize them.

Happy car.

Could you or anyone else with a first Gen tell me what year Jag interchanges with the LS?

what do you mean by this? Mine just cracked on mine and i would like replace it with the sameone you have pictured, thanks in advance.

Any year of the 4.0 S type should work. (This should only be 1999 to 2002, 2003 to 2008 used a 4.2 engine.) Warning: I don't speak with 100% certainty here.
