Phantom lights! (hid's blinkin)

ok my lights went out like a year ago,so i ride with my high beams on and i angled them down so i don't blind oncomin traffic.

My dad was in front of my car and i turned my lights on,and they blinked a little bit and stopped. I had not turned my high's on yet, but i thought it was strange.

Any information about this??? i'm puzzled.
I switched the lights around and one came on for a little bit (like 10 secs) then started blinking again....
I call them Phantom lights!! lol

hey man, please save it. I'm going to get it. Just have to wait till i can get a litttle more money saved up. I just moved to monroe a week ago to come to college with $343.00 in my pocket. A guy said he had a job for me at a mechanic shop but lied! jerk.... So i kept callin and going to see him but he kept telling me call tomoro...anyways i just started a different job today

Please please save that balast! I'll take it.
