I wanted to do 22's as some have but I was looking at the clearence in the front. It looks like I cant do it...
Here's why, the stock tires are 235/50/17 at 26.25" overall diameter, and the 245/30/22 at 27.75" overall diameter. Which means I need .75", 3/4" from the center which I have 7/8" too close for my comfort. Does anyone have 22's on an 06 or pics of the front suspesion of an 04-05? I just want to see if pre-06 2nd gen has different setup than 06.

Can you get a lower offset wheel? How about spacers?

Just wait and get 23's aka "jordans". They're gonna be the new 22's.

The stud sits an inch over the tread and dont want the wheels to stick out if I use spacers. If this is just an 06 problem then I will have to go 20's and be like everyone else. I just like to push to the max and be different. My aveo had 18's, one of only 2 people known to do it. Eveyone said 17's were the max, I knew better.

The suspension is the same on all 00-06 LSs. With 22s on 245/30/22 tires you should clear that bolt, but it's probably gonna be only very few MMs. You can shave the bolt off a bit for getting more clearance.

Lower offset wheels wont work especially with 22s, you will get huge rubbing.

When I had my 20s on with 245/35/20 tires that bolt was real close to the tire, probably like 6 mm, but never touched it as it moves with the wheel up and down.

they would fit but my friend had to raise his car 1". he did it because he didn't think it would clear it and after seeing it on his car i do not disagree. 235's would be a better tire tho i think. i've been meaning to get a pik of his car but haven't had the time. i'll stick a link in this thread if i do take the piks this week
