well I finally ordered parts to fix the Cobra here is a list of what I got

Auburn pro 31 spline differential

4.30 gearset and install set

Moser 31 spline axles


What do you guys think? will I need anything else to complete the rearend rebuild?

Are you going to replace the outer bearing or do they axles come with them?

Fluid would be good too

and maybe some Locktite to keep the bolts from coming out again!

lol the gearset kit contains:
Now, everything you need to install rear gears in one package! Kit includes:
1 FRPP 4.30:1 gearset
1 Master bearing kit (includes pinion & carrier bearings, pinion seal, ring gear bolts, pinion nut, crush sleeve, shims, and marking compound)
1 botlle of Friction Modifier
2 bottles of Royal Purple 75W90 gear oil


and if i need something else bearing wise i can get it from the local part store.


Dont worry i have loctite and will be using it cause i dont want to deal with it this again

lol ummm i think the deal was if the gf kills me cause debi raped me you would get the mark viii but since im single again i highly doubt someone is going to kill me. In WI we can go have some fun in the cobra though lol sorry pepps

I have an auburn pro in my mark. works great. The only thing i regret is not spending the money on new gears. Used ones chatter.

well the gears are the whole reason I bought all of this stuff. Had a couple bolts come out of the ring gear and got wedged between the ring gear and diferential. Taking the differential out of the cobra and putting it in the mark so it also has a Limited slip.

i could think of a thousand things gil. there is one though since your gonna have the cover off anyway. a trick flow rear end cover/ girdle. they really do help diff distortion. its not that bad on the wallet either.
