Hey fellas i have a concern a couple of times when im parking my car and i put it in park it will still say im in reverse but the car is actually stopped and parked and one time when the light said it was in rev (but it was actually parked)
and i but it in drive it was a harsh engagement that shook the car is this a tranny problem or is it something else plz advise

It sounds like you are dealing with two seperate issues, even though maybe they sounds related. The shift indicator is probably something pretty simple. I am not positive but I think that is read from where the shifter position is. So take a look in there, maybe the connection is dirty from a spilled coffee etc.

The harsh engagements could be a little more problematic to determine the cause of. However, if you use Google Advanced Search and search this site you will find a lot of info regarding the harsh engagements. I think there was also a TSB from Ford on this issue.

The dash display gets most of its information from the Digital Transmission Range (TR) Sensor that is down on the side of the transmission. The shifter inside has a redundant park switch and either a D4 or + - switches depending on if you have a sport or not.

I think that your problem will be with the Digital Transmission Range (TR) Sensor.
