This is exactly why I am proud to be an American! These troops are the purest definition of what is right with this country! It gives me hope that things aren't as bad as they seem. Even though I feel that this mis-directed military action has gone way too far, and we've lost too many people, there's no denying that the spirit these troops have for serving our president no matter what the ultimate price is..... What else can I say? I'm so moved by this story. May God Bless these troops, for they are the REAL American Heroes!

I need to eat some of those words concerning my personal feelings about this war. (-read the letter from the Iraqui man thread in the politics/current events section) and see what I mean. (GULP!) :frown:

Don't worry about it, all of us here have our opinions about the war that is what makes this country so good, whether the war is right or wrong the main concern are the troops over there. I read this story and started this thread
because of the dedication this soldier has to want to re-enlist after losing
part of a leg is inspiring.
