I know this has been discussed but i couldn't find anything after i searched..For those of you who have painted your grill what kind of paint did you use and how easy was it? any regrets?

I know people with chrome that they painted black on thier grill..... chips easy as hell and looks like crap in no time.

Sand it down good. I think LSK has a "how to" for the rear suround. Same concept, same finish.

jwerner is correct. On that tech article on lskoncepts it gives instructions for both the rear surround and the grille, even though it's only titled for the rear surround.

i looked up on the tech articles and couldn't find anything...can someone link me?

Does anyone else have opinion on this? I really want too but i would like to see the finished product from someone who has done this and find out exactly how difficult it was...

A couple people have done it. I think Hyelife is one of them. I would do it with a professional if you have doubts but it does work and it does last long if done the right way.

I am working on getting my hands on just the right grille then I will be matching the chrome on it.

Well depending on what you want some come painted from the factory. I was lucky enough to have a member close by do a chrome surround chrome waterfall near me and grabbed his new left overs. I love the look. Check my signature.

I'm doing it now. As my painting skills are really poor, I think I've spent about as much in paint (just try finding the right color), primer, clear and sandpaper as I would have to have it done! I needed a new door handle and that cost just $65.
I will get this done, though.
