Finished prepping the waterfall to paint it a gloss black and clear it this time, was thinking I might color match the surround? Not sure how that would look, havent seen it before. Anywho, this thing was a wicked PITA to prep, all kinds of rock chips ect. Taking my time with it instead of before when I wiped it off with alcohol and rattle can'd it.

You beat me to it. I was gonna do the same but never got around to it :p

Post up some pics.

Well I dont know if I wanna paint the surround for the grill, I kinda like it being chrome, plus Id HAVE to paint match the rear surround as well otherwise it would just be tacky.

On a light car, yes. On a black car, I'd leave it chrome. Contrast is good.

I would leave it though, since you have chrome rims right?

I have something up my sleeve for my 1st Gen.. We'll see how it turns out.. I'm ordering paint soon and when I get the time, I'll get it all painted.

I would paint it because I think it would look tacky..

There are some gen1 grilles around here like that, black waterfall with color matched surround, basically the same thing.

I would paint the chrome too since you are doing it yourself, but it's not like anybody can see the front and back at the same time and say "hey! that looks tacky!"
